This body of work focuses on fostering and repairing personal relationships with the land, reflecting and reinforcing the repair done with my own relationship with my queer identity. Each image is printed via Xerox transfers onto 8x10" canvas boards, which result in imperfect prints. In these areas of damage and imperfection, I gild the image, drawing upon the concept of Kintsugi, or “golden joinery,” to emphasize the beauty of breakage and repair in the evolution of personal identity.
